Recalling the ordeal, Cat described how she received a phone call from Patrick, who tried to remain calm for Milo’s sake while arranging a safe pickup point. The incident was deeply unsettling for Cat, particularly as she realized how common such threats were in the US.

She also expressed her concerns about American school safety drills, explaining that young children are trained on how to respond to active shooter situations. “The danger suddenly becomes a reality,” she admitted, highlighting her growing unease about raising her children in such an environment.

This distressing experience played a key role in the family’s decision to leave Los Angeles and settle back in the UK, where they now enjoy a more peaceful life.

Patrick’s Heartfelt Tribute to Cat

Patrick has been one of Cat’s biggest supporters throughout her career, and he recently shared his pride as she landed her new role on This Morning. In a heartfelt Instagram post, he gave fans a glimpse into their life together and praised his wife’s incredible energy.

“I didn’t know what a morning person actually was until I met this woman,” Patrick wrote. “She gets up every day with a smile on her face. A 5.30 a.m., whistling in the shower, smile on her face. Then downs two coffees, and gives you the look. The ‘what the f*€k’s wrong with you, let’s do this’ look.”

He continued with a playful nod to her chatty nature, saying, “She likes a chat. To anyone. About anything. Anywhere. If there’s anyone in the world made for a show called This Morning, it’s this human.”
