Loose Women star Jane Moore is selling her family home after announcing her split from her husband of 20 years – but she has been hit with a huge setback in her quest to move
Jane Moore, a panellist on Loose Women, has been burdened with a significant legal bill after potential buyers backed out of purchasing her house right before the exchange week. The 62 year old journalist is desiring to find a new home, yet the journey has proven taxing.
Moore recently shared that she’s returned to square one thanks to the collapse of the property chain. “It was under offer earlier this year and the survey was fine, but then the house sale of the people buying it fell through and the chain collapsed,” she recounted her experience.
She agreed to wait for the potential buyers to secure another offer, however, they found the ordeal too stressful and chose to remain in their current home. This unfortunate outcome has led Jane back to the starting point of once again marketing her property, while also contending with “a hefty legal bill”.
Relating to Platinum Magazine, Jane shared her frustrations: “Worse, as the sale fell through on the week of exchange, I had already started to clear out all the cupboards and the house looked an absolute tip.”
She revealed that it took another two weeks before she could put her house back on the market.
Taking into consideration feedback from those who had previously viewed her home, Moore has decided to make certain improvements to the property, hoping these changes will help secure a buyer.
In her concluding remarks for her column, she reached out for some good luck wishes from readers as she strives to move on from the house tied to her split from her long-term partner and “best friend” Gary Farrow.
She opened up about their split for the first time on the programme in 2022, having kept it under wraps for a year.
“So we are both quite private people and we had discussed it last year and it was going to happen last year,” she said. “But he fell and broke his leg – I didn’t push him.”
The couple postponed their separation due to Gary’s injury, until he was back on his feet.
She added: “We’re still doing Christmas together and then in the new year, we’ll sell up. We’ll buy our own houses, hopefully, you know, near each other.”
“The kids know and the rest of our family know.”
Jane has stepdaughter Lauren from her marriage to Gary, and two daughters from another relationship.
