The couple purchased their luxurious £4 million detached house in 2016, and over the years, Ben has given fans glimpses of their stylish interiors. Despite the bittersweet adjustment, Ben was reassured that his son still needed them. Laughing, he revealed that Sam had already FaceTimed them at 7:30 in the morning, seeking advice on how to do his laundry. “She [Annie] was thrilled. She’s still needed!” he joked.

After years of dating, they tied the knot in 2004, choosing a breathtaking coastal wedding venue for their big day. They exchanged vows on a private island near Bigbury-on-Sea, with the stunning Burgh Island Hotel providing a picture-perfect setting for their nuptials.

Through the years, Annie has been a pillar of support in Ben’s life, standing by him as he navigated his television career. Speaking about their long-lasting marriage on the White Wine Question Time podcast, Ben expressed his deep gratitude for his wife.

“We met at university – so you knew Annie when I just got into telly – and I was sort of a mere puppy when it came to the world of broadcasting media,” he reminisced. “She has been through all this with me – the highs and the lows of all that experience. And she is still here, somehow still putting up with me, which to this day, I can’t quite believe. I am extraordinarily lucky.”
